My name is Jay. I was diagnosed a couple of months back with Bipolar Type I. According to the doctor and psychiatrist, I have been bipolar since the age of fifteen, but at that time the psychiatrist I was seeing put the self-harm and suicide attempts down as attention-seeking. Now, thank God, I have a diagnosis that really makes things a hell of a lot clearer. For too long I've been wandering through the days in a state of severe depression, or so manic that my friends and family have been terrified about the things I do!

I decided to set these message boards up to bring a safe environment for other beepers, their friends and family to come and have a chat, keep each other updated, and hopefully become friends.
